Gathering Inspiration

I was so excited to attend this workshop for newborn photography. Since it has only been a year since I really dove into newborns I feel that all the knowledge and information I can gather and learn I am going to. This workshop was put on by the incredible Keri Meyers. By the end of the day, I was feeingl so inspired and ready to take on this amazing job of newborn photography. I am looking forward to all the little ones that are being born this year that I get to meet and feel so blessed and honored I will be able to capture their first days.  Here are some of the images that I took from our newborn models at the workshop.

S. Family | Arizona Family Photographer

I was so excited for this session with the S. Family. My new addiction to Pinterest has opened my eyes to so many possibilities for props. So, when I saw this cute little tent idea I knew it would be perfect  for this family. A quick visit to Home Depot and the local thrift shop, I had myself a cool little tent. Not to mention the gray chair that I had to get there as well because it had my name written all over it !!   It was so funny to see the kids expression when I brought out the tent and chair for their session. I don’t know who was happier them or me. I mean come on, it’s not everyday you get to play with furniture in the middle of the desert.

Little Miss S. was just the smallest peanut at around 5lbs. She  was dainty, and sweet, and practically slept during the whole session. Congratulations to the P. Family on your newest addition she is wonderful.

Little Miss O | Arizona Children’s Photographer

It is my favorite when I get to see some of my past clients come back for pictures, especially when they are all grown up like Miss O. here. I seemed like yesterday I was snapping pictures of her mom and dad for a maternity session and then taking pictures of her sweet little face when she was just a newbie. She was nothing less than perfect in front of the camera and it was SO obvious that mom and dad are smitten with her. Happy Holiday G. Family you are adorable.

Seriously, how cute is this family? After spending more than an hour with them I learned that a two year old can run faster than me, you can trim rose bushes with cooking tongs and if you’ve been asked to stay and spend the night by the kids after the session you know you bonded!! Thank you B. Family for a fun evening of laughing and smiles.

Malia
